Provei glossary
Terms from the dashboard and this help center, in alphabetical order. The dashboard is in Portuguese, so each term also shows the label you see on screen.
Add to cart
Section titled “Add to cart”Each time a customer puts a product in the cart from the try-on. Shows in the dashboard as Adições ao carrinho (Add-to-carts).
API key
Section titled “API key”An access password that lets your store’s system talk to Provei. You create it in Conta › Desenvolvedor (Account › Developer), and it must stay on your server only. In Portuguese: Chave de API. See API keys.
Catalog
Section titled “Catalog”The list of products added to Provei, in Produtos › Catálogo (Products › Catalog). The try-on only shows on the pages of products that are in the catalog and active.
Credit
Section titled “Credit”The unit of usage in Provei. Each try-on uses credits from your plan. In Portuguese: Crédito. See How credits work.
Extra credits
Section titled “Extra credits”Credits on top of the ones included in your plan. When you have them, the balance shows them separately, for example “400 do plano + 100 extras” (400 from the plan + 100 extra).
Find your size
Section titled “Find your size”The store link that recommends a size from height, weight and fit. Shows in the store as Descubra seu tamanho. In your plan, it is called Tamanho Ideal.
Installation code
Section titled “Installation code”The piece of code you paste once into your store theme so the try-on shows. Also called a snippet. Each try-on has its own code. In Portuguese: Código de instalação. See Install Provei in your store.
People who tried on
Section titled “People who tried on”How many different people made at least one try-on in the period. Each person counts once, even if they try on several times. In Portuguese: Pessoas que provaram.
Platform
Section titled “Platform”The system your online store runs on, such as Shopify, Nuvemshop, VTEX or Tray.
Size chart
Section titled “Size chart”The chart with the measurements of each size of a product, added in Produtos › Tabelas de medidas (Products › Size charts). In the Base das medidas (Measurement basis) field, it can be one of four types:
- Medidas do corpo (Body measurements): measurements of the person who wears each size, such as bust, waist and hips.
- Peça medida em superfície plana (Garment measured flat): measurements of the garment itself, laid flat on a table.
- Circunferência da peça (Garment circumference): measurements all the way around the garment.
- Somente exibição (Display only): shows in the size guide but is not used to recommend a size.
Size guide
Section titled “Size guide”The store link that shows the product’s size chart. Shows in the store as Guia de medidas. In your plan, it is called Tabela de Medidas.
Team member
Section titled “Team member”A person the account owner invites in Conta › Equipe (Account › Team). They can access everything except Equipe (Team) and Plano e créditos (Plan and credits). In Portuguese: Membro da equipe.
The set of files that controls how your store looks on its platform. The Provei code goes into the theme, in the layout used by every page.
Try-on
Section titled “Try-on”The image created when a customer tries a product in the try-on tool: the clothing on their body, the frames on their face or the furniture in their room. Each try-on uses credits. If one person tries on three times, that counts as 3 try-ons. In Portuguese: Prova or Prova virtual.
Try-on open
Section titled “Try-on open”Each time a customer opens the try-on on a product page. Shows in Resultados (Results) as Aberturas do provador (Try-on opens). Opening the try-on does not use credits.
Try-on to cart rate
Section titled “Try-on to cart rate”Out of every 100 store visits where someone made a try-on, how many ended with a product in the cart. In Portuguese: Taxa prova → carrinho. See Results.
Try-on tool
Section titled “Try-on tool”The feature on the product page that lets customers try products. In Portuguese: Provador. The dashboard talks about Provador virtual (fashion), Provador de óculos (eyewear), Provador de ambientes (furniture, wall coverings and flooring) and Provador de medidas (size guide, Find your size and Compare sizes).
Usage rate
Section titled “Usage rate”Out of every 100 visits where someone opened the try-on, how many went on to make a try-on. In Portuguese: Taxa de uso.
