Photo tips for using the virtual try-on

The photo the customer uploads decides the quality of the result. Below is the same guidance the try-on window shows, ready for you to copy and send to customers through customer service, social media or your store’s help page.

The try-on window is in Portuguese, so the button and message names below stay in Portuguese, with a translation in parentheses.

The text below speaks directly to the customer. Copy the part for the try-on your store uses.

  • Use a sharp, well-lit photo.
  • Upload the photo as JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, up to 10 MB. iPhone photos work.
  • On a phone, tap Tirar Foto (Take photo) to use the camera or Escolher da Galeria (Choose from gallery) to use a photo you already have.
  • If the photo isn’t accepted, choose another one. The window explains why.
  • Use a photo of just you, with no one around.
  • The image shows how the garment looks on you. To find your size, use the store’s size recommendation when it’s available.
  • Take a selfie looking straight at the camera.
  • Take off the glasses you’re wearing.
  • Make sure your face is well lit.
  • The result is a visual simulation. It doesn’t measure whether the frame fits your face.
  • Take a photo of the room where you want to put the piece.
  • If you want, mark the area on the photo where the piece should go before generating the image.
  • Take a photo of the wall you want to cover, with the wall as the focus.
  • Take a photo of the room that clearly shows the floor where the flooring will go.
